In the Realm of the Thorn Star

The Thorn Star’s shadow towers over Assantia. All the wizards who refused to convert are dead or in hiding, her Carracks rule the skies, and only a few renegade Kingdoms remain free.

But secrets thrive in the darkness.

Jandel, the Seer, is conspiring.

Catalydon, the Agent, seethes with ambition.

Terrine, the assassin, serves two masters.

All Sebastian wants to do is fish with his friend, the Birdmouth, Bugle, and keep as far away from trouble as possible. The world he knows has always been one of hunger and survival, of war creeping ever closer.

But he has a secret too, unknown, even to himself. His life has been a lie. If he is to survive, no one can know his truth.

Percentile Human Tissue

Percentile Human Tissue – a dark, twisting exploration of humanity’s moral collapse.

Amazon Review – Percentile Human Tissue is the kind of science fiction that reminds you why the genre exists – not only to imagine the future, but to interrogate the present with ruthless intelligence and originality. From its first page, the novel grips you with concepts that feel unsettlingly plausible and refuses to let go. Brilliant, unsettling, and unforgettable. It’s not just a great sci-fi novel – it’s a necessary one. Highly recommend!

Part Robot – Part Chemistry Experiment – Fraction Human

MeritsOne seems to be alone in fearing that when the tissue is gone what little empathy and kindness that exist will go too, and the PHTs would evolve into different beings, with very different goals.

They have already burnt their way through four planets and torched every living organism on them in the process. Their search for utopia feels more to Merits like a death march into oblivion.

His attempts to manipulate their chemistry and design a more compassionate being, and his ultimate goal, to build the soul, have failed. The PHTs are as self obsessed and destructive as they ever were.

He has concluded that they are a virus, and as a biologist, master chemist, super brain, it is up to him to eradicate them, before they destroy the universe.

Bio

It was my stint as a solo traveller that ignited my love of writing, and story telling in particular. I’d spent a decade on the building site and skippering work boats at the local boat yard – both full of characters – and had had a good kick at the ball clubbing and pubbing, but the party was over and it was time to get out of Dodge. Back in the 90’s, when the internet was in its infancy, internet cafes were springing up all over the well beaten trails of Southeast Asia and Central and South America. I met and travelled with dozens of people during that time, but I also spent a lot of time on my own

CP Sharp is a science fiction and fantasy author living in Fife Scotland.

The internet cafe became my go-to place, where I’d craft the tales of my travels and send them off to the few people who had email addresses at the time. I’d spend hours typing away, editing and re-editing. The whole experience was invigorating and I simply couldn’t type fast enough! The strange and wonderful sights, and smells, the strangers drifting by. I’d set off to find myself in the jungles and mountains, but came alive in the computer lined shacks of the developing world.

When I returned, I started writing books.

“Imagination on steroids.” – Justin Trudeau

“Totally original. When do you ever say that?” – Ronald Koeman

“Brilliant!” – Joss, next door

“I will definitely read it – at some point.” – Greg, also next door

“Twist after twist!” – Gimli, son of Gloin

“Wait – how many pages is it?” – Greg, next door (again)

“Possibly the greatest author on this street – maybe even the estate.”
